Port Pirie Croquet Club

The Port Pirie Croquet welcomes visitors and interested players to come and join us for a game of croquet.

Come and stop over on your way to Flinders Ranges. Give us a call – we can arrange a friendly game outside of our normal playing schedule.

For new players, please come and try. Our members are more than happy to show you the basics of how to play Association or Golf Croquet. We are able to provide some one-on-one instruction as well.

Location (See map below):

The Port Pirie Croquet club is part of the Memorial Oval Sporting Complex.
You will find the Memorial Oval is central, to not only the city, but also the main venue for many sporting clubs and other social activities, including the Smelters Day Picnic.
Entrance to the club is either via the Bowling Club, (pathway at the side of the bowling club rooms – you will need to park in Mary Elie St.) or via the car park off Memorial Drive (find the gate with croquet club sign).

Playing Times:

Association Croquet is played every Thursday morning except mid December to end of January (start time will depend on hot weather rules).
In winter play usually commences at 9:00 am until 12 noon, and in summer 8:30 am until 11:30 am.

Association Croquet members also link with other clubs (Jamestown, Crystal Brook and Clare) every Wednesday morning to play Pennant Competitions for summer and winter seasons.

The Social Croquet members play either Association or Golf Croquet on Saturday during winter from 1:00 pm until 3:30 pm and Night Owls during day light saving from 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm.
