Women’s World Championship 2019

 

There were 56 women in the event, 5 from South Australia and 16 from Australia in total. Women came from Australia, Egypt, England, Ireland, Scotland Spain and New Zealand. They ranged in age from 16 to 82 years.
The Tournament started with 8 Blocks of 7 players, each playing a best of 3 game match with each other to determine their position in the Block. The Top 4 women from each Block made it to the main draw, the remainders went to play off in the “Plate” Competition.
SA had 3 women make it to the Main Event of 32 players, 5 other Australians also made it. The competition now was a knockout, with events for people knocked out to determine final places.
