The Division 2 singles were held over 3 days, July 24 – 26 and attracted a large number of entrants, including many country players. Unfortunately, Allan Haywood had to withdraw at the last moment and his place was taken by Lyn Parnell. There were players from Moonta, Victor Harbor, Aldinga Bay and Kadina clubs as well as city members. The 14 players were divided into 2 equally weighted blocks of 7 and playoffs for places were played in the last session.  Block 1 was won by Barry Jennings with Jim Curtis runner-up. Block 2 was won by Wayne Peart with Shirley Howlett runner-up. In both blocks the first and second places were decided by a count back (5 wins each). The playoff for first place was won by Barry Jennings from Wayne Peart by 2 hoops (26 – 24) in a close fought match. The match between the two block runners-up was won by Jim Curtis from Shirley Howlett by 1 hoop (18 – 17) after Jim cunningly pegged one ball out after the bell.
